Professional and Legal Reports

T&L Psychology provides structured clinical psychology reports to support understanding of an individual's functioning in professional, occupational and legal contexts.

Reports are based on detailed clinical assessment and are designed to provide clear, objective and practical information.

Purpose of reports

Reports may be helpful where there is a need for an independent, clinically informed understanding of an individual's strengths, areas of difficulty, and how these affect day-to-day functioning, including where this may be relevant to questions of disability.

Workplace or occupational health processes – Access to Work applications – clarification of support needs – educational or training contexts – legal or medico-legal matters.

Assessment and evidence

Reports are grounded in comprehensive clinical assessment. This may include detailed history, functional assessment, and where appropriate, formal cognitive or psychometric assessment.

The aim is to ensure that conclusions are well-evidenced, proportionate and clearly explained, particularly where they may inform decisions relating to support, adjustment or disability.

Content and recommendations

Reports include a clear description of the individual's profile, identification of strengths and areas of difficulty, and explanation of how these impact functioning.

Recommendations are practical, proportionate and tailored to the specific context, whether workplace, educational or legal.

Professional approach

All reports are grounded in clinical formulation and aim to provide balanced, objective and clearly reasoned conclusions.

The focus is on producing work that is accurate, professionally robust and useful in practice.
